Rethink Breast Cancer

Rethink Breast Cancer is a Canadian charity dedicated to education, support and advocacy for younger women affected by breast cancer. Founded in 2001, it was established to address gaps in information and care that often overlooked their needs. This year marks its 25th anniversary.
Today, Rethink provides professional and peer support through virtual groups facilitated by social workers and therapists, alongside a mentorship program connecting people with trained members of the breast cancer community. Local meetups and a private online network offer further opportunities to connect with others who have experienced a diagnosis.
Its educational resources address practical concerns, including talking to children about a diagnosis and participating in discussions with a healthcare team. Beyond individual support, Rethink advocates for more complete breast cancer data in Canada and fewer barriers to treatment access, bringing younger women’s experiences into decisions about their care.

To mark its anniversary, Rethink has partnered with 25 Canadian brands for the 25 for 25 Collection. Spanning fashion, beauty, home and more, the collection brings together limited-edition products that support its mission, with contributions from purchases helping fund its ongoing work.
Normy is honoured to be part of this collective effort. Our Dimensional Faux Fur Blanket in Lilac is offered with custom Rethink x Normy packaging, with 100% of proceeds donated to Rethink’s mission for the month of October. It is a small contribution to the organisation’s work and an opportunity to introduce it to our community.
The anniversary also looks towards Rethink’s future. Planned to open in 2027/2028, The Rethink House will be a permanent space in downtown Toronto for education, connection and movement. This October, its pop-up house at 390 Dupont Street introduces that vision through community events, classes and the 25 for 25 Collection, while raising funds for the permanent House.
Rethink’s 25th anniversary recognises years of work to ensure younger women are better supported and represented in breast cancer care. We’re grateful to participate and share the organisation’s continued commitment to its community.
